THE CHALLENGE: LACK OF MODULES AND SMALL SERIES SIZES

Elogic Systems produces enclosures for the electrical, fiber and communications industries. Prior to the company's Simplimize process, production was generally characterized by small batch sizes and non-modularized product architectures, which resulted in an inappropriate number of conversions in the production flow.


Therefore, the company saw a potential in Simplimize as a lever to get started with the modularization and simplification process.

In this connection, Elogic Systems had a number of specific wishes:

    Modularisation across product families With the help of Simplimize, the company now has a new common interface for mounting plates, a common base and a common casing across product families. At the same time, the variance in doors has been isolated.

FEWER VARIANTS - MORE DEVELOPMENT

As a result of the Simplimize process, Elogic Systems has increased its series sizes and reduced its stock turnover time by 5 days with the possibility of further reduction due to fewer variants.


In addition, Elogic Systems has achieved a shorter delivery time, because standard parts / plates can now be stocked, as well as faster assembly due to a more uniform product structure.


Finally, Elogic Systems has found it easier to handle documentation, which has freed up more time for product development. They have now become easier for the company to innovate.
