Standard calculations

We have extensive experience in calculating according to norms / standards from all over the world.

So in working with the customer, we ensure what standards are needed to comply with, and what norm calculations are thus to be carried out.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & Analytical Calculations

Many complex structures require application FEA tools, here Kirkholm will often use ANSYS.

Here we have experience with structures that are static, dynamic and thermal affected. Whether it is a steel, plastic or composite structure to be calculated, we are able to help. The analytical calculations are often used for less complex structures, for verification of FEA details, welds or bolts.

Gas and Fluid Systems - CFD simulation

When you design equipment for cooling electrical systems, food heating, waste water management or

other fluid systems, a flow condition evaluation will be important to ensure the desired effect of the design. Here we will often use CFD simulations to determine for example pressure drop, flow rate, vortex formation, temperatures or mixing. Learn more about CFD simulations here.
